At MaserGrup, we proudly celebrate a new milestone in the international growth of one of our most outstanding companies: Fruselva Global, which has inaugurated the largest baby food production plant in Latin America in the Maule Region (Chile). This project marks a decisive step in the group’s global expansion and reinforces our commitment to innovation, sustainability, and local development.

With an investment of 40 million USD, the new facility currently generates 600 direct jobs and is expected to exceed 1,000 jobs by 2030, significantly contributing to the region’s economic and social growth. Since arriving in Chile, Fruselva has invested over 70 million USD and plans to invest an additional 60 million USD over the next four years, strengthening its confidence in the country’s potential and its people.

The inauguration was attended by Chilean and Spanish authorities, including Chile’s Minister of Agriculture, Ignacia Fernández, Presidential Delegate Humberto Aqueveque, Regional Governor Pedro Álvarez-Salamanca, and Spain’s Ambassador, Laura Oroz. During the event, Fruselva was recognized as a regional development driver, promoting female employment, technological innovation, and sustainability.

A plant with identity, innovation, and purpose

The new facility spans 130,000 m², with 25,000 m² covered and 23,000 m² dedicated to production, designed to meet the highest standards of efficiency and well-being. It operates with energy autonomy through a photovoltaic plant and self-consumption systems and includes worker-oriented services such as childcare, lactation room, free dining, transport, and medical insurance.

It features two production lines capable of manufacturing both conventional foods and specialized products (with allergens, probiotics, vitamins, or proteins), making it the world’s first baby food co-manufacturer able to offer safe solutions for allergen introduction in diets.

Its sustainable MBR water treatment system places it among the cleanest plants in the sector. Over 4,500 hours of annual training strengthen the talent, safety, and innovation of its workforce.
