Costa Concentrados Levantinos, a company of the MaserGrup group, is collaborating in the IMMUGOLD project, an innovative research project that seeks to create a functional drink designed to strengthen the immune system of the elderly population. This project is carried out in alliance with the Rovira i Virgili University (URV) and the Technological Research Center of the Basque Country (AZTI).

A functional product based on scientific research

IMMUGOLD is not a medicine, but a functional drink made with natural ingredients rigorously selected for their beneficial properties for the immune system. This research is supported by the Functional Nutrition, Oxidation and Cardiovascular Disease Research Group (NFOC-SALUT) of the URV, led by Professor of Medicine Rosa Solà.

Functional foods such as this project aim to provide specific health benefits when consumed regularly. Therefore, the development of this drink is based on a close collaboration between scientists and our experts in the food industry to ensure its safety and efficacy.

The final formulation of the drink is expected to be completed in early 2027, at which time clinical trials will be conducted to validate its effectiveness. If the results are positive, IMMUGOLD could become a key tool to reduce the incidence of infections and chronic diseases in the elderly, thus improving their quality of life.

At MaserGrup, we remain committed to innovation and applied research in the food sector, developing products that respond to the needs of society and contribute to a healthier future.
