Women and Girls in Science

International Day of Women and Girls in Science

Feb 11, 2026 | Masergrup-en

Today, February 11, we celebrate the International Day of Women and Girls in Science, a date proclaimed by the United Nations General Assembly in 2015 with the aim of promoting gender equality in science and technology—fields in which women have historically been underrepresented.

The International Day of Women and Girls in Science highlights the achievements of women scientists throughout history and underscores the need to continue removing the barriers that still limit girls’ and women’s access to education and scientific careers. Despite the progress made in recent years, challenges such as unequal opportunities, bias, and the lack of female role models in certain sectors still persist. Promoting full and equal participation in science not only recognizes their contributions, but also fosters more diverse innovation capable of addressing the global challenges facing our society.

At MaserGrup, we firmly believe in talent as a driver of progress and are committed to multidisciplinary and diverse teams that create real value, building a more innovative, sustainable, responsible, and inclusive future.

We are fortunate to work with professionals who drive knowledge, research, and continuous improvement, demonstrating that talent is not defined by gender, but by passion, effort, and dedication. Today, we would like to recognize our technical team made up of outstanding professionals, including specialists from different scientific fields (engineers, nutritionists, biotechnologists…), who, through their expertise, commitment, and vocation, contribute every day to the development of solutions that generate a positive impact on our environment and across the group’s companies.

Contributing to social development, global wellbeing, and the construction of a more equitable world is a shared responsibility in which science plays a fundamental role. Let us continue working together to highlight female talent, create opportunities, and inspire future generations of scientists, technicians, and researchers.
