Miró Vermouth and Forn Sistaré light up Reus with the Coca Ganxeta

At MaserGrup, we are proud to see how one of our most emblematic brands, Miró Vermouth, continues to strengthen its bond with Reus and the local territory through initiatives that bring together gastronomy, tradition, and local identity.

On October 17, the Casa Rull Garden hosted the official presentation of the Coca Ganxeta, a project led by Miró Vermouth in collaboration with master baker Xavier Pàmies Sistaré, brand ambassador and a benchmark of Reus craftsmanship. The Coca Ganxeta is much more than a gastronomic creation: it is a tribute to the city, to vermouth, and to the traditional crafts that keep its essence alive.

On October 24 at 7 p.m., the Mercadal Square will become the stage for a large public celebration. Xavier Pàmies will prepare a 45-metre-long coca, made with bread and caramelized with Miró Vermouth, stretching from the City Hall to Casa Navàs, uniting two architectural and emotional symbols of the city. It will be a historic image that fills the heart of Reus with the unmistakable aroma of its most authentic vermouth.

The event will conclude with a public tasting of the Coca Ganxeta, with over 1,500 servings available. In addition, local restaurants in the Mercadal area will offer Miró Vermouth at a special price of one euro, inviting everyone to raise a glass to this symbolic milestone.

At MaserGrup, we see this initiative as a clear example of our commitment to the territory and local talent. Projects like this reflect how the companies within our group —such as Miró Vermouth, Forn Sistaré, Fruselva, and Casa Navàs— work to promote the heritage, culture, and identity of Reus across different fields, from gastronomy and art to innovation and sustainability.
