Tecnol is recognized for environmental commitment to the building of the new corporate headquarters

Tecnol has received “Medi Ambient Ciutat de Reus” Award last week for good environmental practices acquired in the construction of the new headquarters.

Reus City Council and the city’s Chamber of Commerce awarded the City of Reus Environment Award for the environmental commitment of the city’s companies and organizations. Tecnol received the award this year because of the commitment to sustainability and respect for the environment demonstrated during the construction of the new corporate headquarters.

How’s the new building?

The new headquarters is 100% self-sustaining, a smart building located in Mas de les Ànimes, in Reus.

This building has LEED Gold Construction Certification from the U.S. Green Construction Council, it has become the first building in Tarragona Province to obtain this seal.
In addition, it has the Carbonian Neutrality Certificate, the RESET Indoor Air Quality Certificate and A+ Energy Certification.

Xavier Martínez i Serra, president and founder of Tecnol has thus recognized his satisfaction with the award: “Our vocation is to be able to contribute to improving the quality of life of society as a whole and the planet in which we live.” He also said that all companies need to have an environmental awareness with a view to the future of the planet. Martínez states that “business that are not capable of being sustainable will be able to make money, but have no long-term running”.
