MaserGrup has acquired 100% of Skjodt-Barrett’s third-party manufacturing business in the United States and Canada. The transaction includes the production assets located in Lebanon, Indiana, an industrial complex covering 130,000 m² with a 50,000 m² production facility.
The acquired company, which will be renamed SBFoods and will operate under the Fruselva umbrella, brings significant industrial capacity, specialised expertise in infant nutrition and a strong presence in the North American market.
This acquisition enables MaserGrup to strengthen its position as a leading manufacturer of pouch-format products, expand its capacity to serve international brands and retailers, and reinforce its presence in a strategic category such as infant nutrition and healthy snacks for children.
“This acquisition represents a major milestone in our business project,” says Xavier Martínez, President of MaserGrup. “Skjodt-Barrett has built a high-quality organisation, with top-tier customers, major suppliers, deep sector expertise and a highly qualified team. We want to build on these strengths to open a new stage of joint development and continue providing the best possible service to our customers.”
The integration will be carried out while maintaining the company’s operational continuity and its current workforce of 350 professionals in the United States and 10 in Canada. In addition, the Group plans to recruit close to one hundred new employees to support the expected growth in activity.
With revenue exceeding 150 million dollars and annual production of more than 300 million units, Skjodt-Barrett represents a significant boost to the Group’s international growth. As a result of this transaction, revenue is expected to exceed 400 million euros in 2027.
